Visitation Guidelines during COVID-19

Please join us in our efforts to elevate our safety precautions. The guidelines below will help ensure we’re meeting the highest public health standards while maintaining the excellence of the visitor experience at The Armour-Stiner Octagon House.  By procuring a ticket to a guided tour, you (and your party) agree to the following:

  • All visitors must wear a mask at all times. There are no exceptions, and you will not be admitted on a tour if you are not wearing a mask. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who does not comply with this requirement.

  • All visitors and staff will be asked to confirm that they have not had any viral-like symptoms, including but not limited to fever and cough, in the 48 hours prior to their arrival. If a visitor exhibits symptoms or has had contact with a COVID-19 patient in the last 14 days, we ask that you please stay home and seek care. Visitors who experience viral-like symptoms while on our property agree to self-identify to our staff before leaving the property.

  • All visitors and staff are to practice social distancing by keeping a minimum of six feet of distance between themselves and others who are not in the same party. The interior viewing will require visitors to follow a path with social distance markers to help keep parties separate.

  • All large belongings need to be left at home or in a vehicle.  This includes luggage, large bags, tripods, and other similar items.  Large accessories of any kind are not permitted on-site and cannot be stored at The Octagon House.

  • We are taking suggested precautions to enable contact tracing, therefore all ticket buyers are required to provide names of everyone in your party.

  • By visiting The Armour-Stiner Octagon House, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to SARS-CoV-2.  You acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus that causes COVID-19, exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.
